Transposition is a portrait of Jeff Richey, environmental specialist by day and jazz musician by night. Explore the intertwining lives of one man trying to sustain his living and make his art in Denton, Texas.
Jeff Richey has moonlighted as a jazz saxophone player for the past 40 years, playing whatever gigs he can on the weekends. Though this is his first passion in life, it doesn’t sufficiently support the needs of his family. Out of necessity he works as the environmental specialist at a water reclamation plant in Trophy Club, a private gated community. These two professions have set the rhythm of his life; one necessarily hardworking, and the other a channel for creativity and freedom of expression.
